FABIÁN SALAS & LOLA DÍAZ (up)

Fabian Salas is an internationally renowned tango dancer, teacher, researcher and choreographer, famed for his distinctive approach to the dance.

Born in 1963 in La Plata, capital of the Buenos Aires province, Fabian was educated in both Argentina and the US, trained as a lawyer and moved to the city of Buenos Aires to practice law and dance the tango in 1988.

By 1992, Fabian had begun touring the world as a tango teacher becoming then, one of the first professional touring teachers in history and opening in such way, many doors to others who later decided to join this activity. In 1995 he started an investigation group which lead to the development of a revolutionary way of understanding, teaching and dancing the tango, which later on was known as "Tango Nuevo". Despite the fact Fabian disagrees with the name giving to that whole movement, he is considered to be one of the fathers of the today so called "Tango Nuevo".  In 1996, Fabian took part in the filming of the motion picture "Evita", and a year later was one of the main dancers in the award-winning film "The Tango Lesson".

Fabian runs the tango education organizations Cosmotango and TangoPal and has created a series of instructional videos to teach authentic Tango in 10 easy lessons. He is also the organizer and director of the CITA (Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino) the world's most important annual tango event, which brings together tango lovers, practitioners and leading tango artists in the Argentine capital.

Nowadays, he partners Lola Díaz, who regardless of her short age, has participated in several Tango productions of which the most important are: Dancing with Pablo Verón at “La hora del Tango”, Festival Classico Pompeiano 2007. Dancing the principal roll with Pablo Verón and choreography assistant of the Clip “Nexus” 2007. Principal roll and choreographer (Tango y Ballet) of the Clip “Tango Hereje” 2006.

As a tango teacher she also has a very active career, where besides international tours, she has 4 years of experience teaching at La Viruta, a very famous tango school in Buenos Aires.

MARIANO “CHICHO” FRÚMBOLI & JUANA SEPÚLVEDA. (up)

A true representative of the "New Generation". Chicho brings to the dance all his talent and freshness and he becomes famous for his unique and spontaneous style. Between others, he partnered Lucía Mazer, Eugenia Parrilla, and he currently tours and performs with Juana Sepúlveda.

Chicho teaches with love and talent, combined with a profound understanding of the technique of the dance. His classes are a must for those approaching the Nuevo Tango style, as well as for the experienced dancers. Be prepared to experiment new ways of instruction.

 


EDUARDO CAPUSSI & MARIANA FLORES. (up)

Eduardo Cappussi and Mariana Flores have been dancing together and teaching “Tango Argentino” since 1997. They are one of the most respected, inventive and expressive tango dancers in their home country and abroad. A dance couple which shines with a strongly individual style combined with peculiar theatrical elements. Their dance is born of improvisation and it excites the audience in a unique way.

Eduardo Cappussi and Mariana Flores have been featured in most of the European tango festivals and top tango events worldwide.

ADRIÁN VEREDICE & ALEJANDRA HOBERT. (up)

Dancers, choreographers and masters of Tango Argentino. They are couple from 1998 where rapidly they have turned into one of the pairs of argentine tango more recognized of today.

Their  great scenic interpretation and expressive capacity have fulfilled the scenes of the tango world. They are protagonist of the event most important and acclaimed in  the international festivals of tango in the last 10 years (cities as Berlin, Rome, London, Paris, Lisbon, Athens, Istanbul, Dubai, Montreal, among others).

Also from 2002 they are principal teachers of the C.I.T.A (Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino) and the dance world championships organized by the world dance council. Teachers in the united states they are regular teacher in Fred Astaire studios and several schools of ballroom dancing.

During 2003 to 2010 were choreographers and main couple of Otango show - Cincotango show and Tanguisimo show orchestra with great success in Europe and America. Shared stage events and shows with bands of the caliber of el Sexteto Mayor, Color Tango, El Arranque, Los Reyes del Tango and Sexteto Canyengue.

As teachers they are required because of their great professionalism, technical wealth and methodology of work. With base in Buenos Aires they are great models of the new generation of tango dancers. Regularly they realize in their city one or two seminars annually.

CECILIA GONZÁLEZ & SOMER SURGIT. (up)

Well respected by the tango community in Buenos Aires, Cecilia has taught and danced at numerous festivals around the world. Along the way she has partnered with some of the most famous tangueros of her generation: Osvaldo Zotto, Fabian Salas and Mariano 'Chicho' Frumboli, to name a few.

The technical precision, fluidity and elegance of her movements and notable capacity of improvisation characterize her dance.

Her complete knowledge and her passion for teaching makes her a very appreciated and requested tango teacher being invited regularly to give workshops in Europe and North America since 1996. She has taught in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada and US.

Since its inception in 1999, she has been a member of the teaching faculty of the Argentine International Tango Congress (C.I.T.A) held annually in Buenos Aires.

Somer's musicality, elegance and creativity are unique and original. He emphasizes technique and fundamentals to make the dance elegant and natural. With warmth and sensitivity guides his students from the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.

CHRISTIAN MARQUEZ & VIRGINIA GÓMEZ. (up)

United by the same passion, traveled a long way to become a renowned couple for its strength, maturity and style of Tango.

Together since 1996, Christian and Virginia were formed with renowned teachers and their first professional experience was in 1997. Since then, they have participated in major national and international shows like "The tangos of Kabbalah", "Piazzolla Tango", "Copes Tango Copes", "O'Tango", and many other shows directed by renowned dancers and choreographers. Since 2002, they have started to travel to different cities in Europe and Asia, teaching workshops and participating in important tango festivals. In 2006 they were invited to be the leading couple of the video clip "Diferente" by Gotan Project. They are currently stable dancers of companies "O' Tango" and "Coorporación Tango ".

In Buenos Aires they work hard in order to transmit their knowledge to new generations of dancers. Their dance is characterized by the precision and quality of their movements, their elegance and the most pure and essential Tango.


RODRIGO PALACIOS & AGUSTINA BERENSTEIN. (up)

They are the future of tango and its evolution, of personality and tradition. Teachers and representatives of the tango in Buenos Aires and abroad. They teach in one of the most important milongas of the city and at the Zarasa Studio of Julio Balmaceda and Corina de la Rosa, of whom they are disciples. They dance and teach in Europe and Japan. In late 2007, they have been summoned by "Forever Tango" to join the cast of the show in Buenos Aires and currently they are one of the new couple of dancers of Julio and Corina's show, "Corazón a Corazón."

Tango dancer and teacher. She brings to the dance all her freshness and beauty. Owner of a happy style, she communicates to her students the importance and relevance of the foundation and fundamentals of the argentine tango like no other teacher. Since 2008 she is part of the staff of masters of CITA (Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino). She took part of several festivals around the world, among them: the NY Tango Festival (New York), Fandango de Tango (Austin, Texas), Mallorca Tango Festival (Palma de Mallorca, Spain), Tango Revolución (Cesena, Italia), Tango con Sharm (Sharm el Sheikh-Egypt). She also taught Workshops in many different cities: Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Parma, Madrid, Paris, Canary Islands, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and more.
